Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

When you use Barrier Lab we collect:

• Email address — used to verify your subscription and deliver your account.
• Selfie photos — submitted by you for analysis. Photos are sent to Anthropic's API for AI processing and are not stored by us after the analysis is returned.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Paddle. We never see or store your card details.
• Subscription data — plan, status, and billing dates mirrored from Paddle via webhooks.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To verify your subscription and grant access to the service
• To process your selfie and return a skin-read recommendation
• To manage your account and billing

We do not sell your data. We do not use your selfies to train AI models.

3. Third-Party Services

• Paddle — payment processing. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic — AI analysis of selfie photos. Images are processed per Anthropic's Privacy Policy and are not retained for training.

4. Data Retention

We retain your email and subscription status for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for billing records. Selfie images are not stored — they are processed in memory and discarded immediately after the recommendation is returned.

5. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing hello@getbarrierlab.com. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to maintain your login state. No third-party tracking or advertising cookies are used.
